Founder’s Story: Carol Lubs
1 Thessalonians 5:24 “The One who calls you is faithful and He will do it.”
Carol Lubs is a wife and a mother. She has been married to her husband, Roger, for over 30 years and together they have six children. Three of the children are biological and three are adopted. In 1990, as Carol and Roger were completing their first adoption, the Lord started speaking to Carol. The message was that women choose abortion over an adoption plan or parenting because they don’t have adequate support for choosing life. It was at that time that the Lord asked her to start an organization to come along side women to help them with their life choices.
In 2003, the Lord released her to begin working on the vision that He had planted in her heart so many years before, and in December 2006, Cradles of Grace was established as a non-profit organization. Since then, Cradles of Grace has mentored single moms, seen many moms choose life over abortion, and has helped women decide between parenting and adoption. Cradles of Grace has built new godly support around single moms with mentoring and counseling; as a result, many women have come to the Lord. Cradles continues to nurture these relationships as they work their way through the two to five year program.
Cradles of Grace has church-based centers where the moms come to learn about Christ and experience community. Clients go through classes on godly relationships and sexual integrity, participate in Bible studies, eat family style meals, and are surrounded by support and encouragement. Carol counts it pure joy to work with the precious women and their children that God has entrusted to Cradles of Grace. Our God is faithful and HE will do it!
The mission of Cradles of Grace is to care for single pregnant women and moms, encouraging life transformation through the love of Christ.
